Daikon radish mochi 大根餅

Yesterday I made daikon mochi. Daikon radish or mooli is a nutritious root vegetable and that can be used in many different dishes.

For this dish, you need daikon, shiitake mushroom, rice flour, herbs and sesame oil.

You start by grating the daikon. After you mix daikon with sliced mushroom, flour and herbs.


Then you shape mixture into equal sized balls that you flatten.

Daikon mochi

Fry the mochis till golden on each side.


Serve mochi with soya sauce and enjoy!
